We step away from the noise and spend real time recording, listening, talking, and focusing on what actually matters when making music.

It’s about connecting with others around the table and in the control room —
and getting back to trusting your own taste and instincts.

Who this is for

This retreat is for producers, mixers, and music creators who want to go deeper into recording and mixing.

It’s also for people who want to meet others who care about music in the same way, make new connections, and spend a few days reconnecting with their own creative process.

What’s included

✔️ Three full studio days in one of the most inspiring studios in the world
✔️ Airport pickup from El Paso — once you’re there, we take care of the rest

Add a fourth night at checkout for $90 USD if you want a relaxed departure.

✈️ Return transport to the airport
Departure at 17:00 on the final day, unless you stay the extra night.

🎧 What we’ll do

Day 1 — The Sonic Playground

We explore sound without pressure.
Mic choices, mic placement, tone, A/B’ing gear, listening closely.
The studio as a creative lab.

Day 2 — Recording the Song

We record one song at a relaxed pace.
Observe, ask questions, sit in the control room, or contribute ideas if you want.
No hierarchy — just collaboration.

Day 3 — Wrapping the Story

We finish the recording and move into a mixing session.
We talk through decisions, listen carefully, and reflect on why choices matter.

About me

I’m Thomas Juth, a grammy awarded mix engineer and producer.

I’ve been mixing and producing music for over 20 years, working with artists all over the world.

I created this retreat because Sonic Ranch is a special place to record, and I wanted to both teach and create a shared experience — something we don’t often get when working in isolation.
