A book about mixing with clarity, confidence, and creative purpose.
Over the past ten years, I’ve been slowly writing this book—shaped by the questions people ask me, my own studio experience, and the ongoing search for a clearer, more human way to talk about mixing.
Parts of it were originally published in my Art of Mixing eBook series. But this isn’t just a repackaging.
I’ve expanded every topic, added whole new sections, and shaped it into something that feels more complete—something you can read from start to finish as a proper guide.
Who it’s for
If you’ve ever found yourself second-guessing every move in a mix...
If you’ve watched all the tutorials, bought the gear, and still feel unsure of your sound...
You’re not alone—and this book is for you.
It’s for mixers, producers, and artists who want to move beyond hesitation and make confident, creative decisions with purpose.
Maybe you’ve got the tools, watched the tutorials, done the mixes… but things still feel unclear. This is here to help you:
-
Stop overthinking every move
-
Trust your ears and your decisions
-
Simplify your workflow
-
Build mixes that actually feel like you

What it covers
This isn’t a book of tricks.
It’s a mindset-first guide — less about technical recipes, and more about trust, taste, and intention.
Yes, it covers tools like EQ, compression, and reverb — but always through the lens of creative decision-making and emotional impact.
You’ll learn how to simplify your workflow and mix with clarity and purpose, reconnecting with what actually matters: the music, the emotion, and your own creative voice.

About Me
I’m Thomas Juth, a Swedish mix engineer with over 20 years of experience. I’ve had the chance to work with artists like Cat Stevens, a-ha, Jason Mraz, Zaz, Jamie Cullum, and Jesse & Joy.
What matters most to me is making music feel honest. The best mixes aren’t always perfect—they’re the ones that move you. My job is to support the song’s vision and help it connect with people on a deeper level.
